Hearing Healthcare Services

Working within the medical community, our clinic provides a variety of hearing healthcare services including hearing assessments, rehabilitation, education, and counseling. Our clinic also fits and dispenses sophisticated hearing aids and related devices to suit all types of hearing losses and lifestyles including single-Sided Deafness and Tinnitus.

Assessments regarding the level of amplification that would be best suited to our patients are generally completed following a comprehensive hearing evaluation by Board Certified Audioprosthologist Murray Steinfeld.

We also actively participate in the prevention of hearing loss through the provision and fitting of hearing protective devices, consultation on the effects of noise on hearing, and consumer education.

Helpful Hints

After receiving your new hearing aids:

  • wear them 2 to 3 hours at a time the first 2-3 days
  • remove them and allow your ears to rest for an hour
  • then place them back onto your ears for another 2 to 3 hours

Continue to do this on a regular schedule during the first few days. After three days begin wearing your new aids all day but still remove them during the mid-afternoon [allowing your ears to rest] for about an hour during the balance of the first week. Week number two wear your new aids all day, but if needed remove them for an hour or so at the mid-day for another week
